Moose, Bear & Wolf Hunts in Canada
Seven Day Trips
Each of our seven day trips include seven full days of hunting, with extra time alotted for travel to get into and out of camps.
For the most part, my hunt territory is for hunters looking for moose with antlers up to 50". The territory is located in management blocks 6-4 and 6-9. On top of being an excellent area for bull moose, there are also black bear available. All of the moose hunting occurs in the fall between September and November. Black bear can be hunted either in the spring or the fall.
Depending upon your physical fitness, Sonny's Guiding Service offers hunting on foot for the traditional hunting experience, or with argos, trucks and boats for the rest of us who want a guided hunt that is relaxing as well. We can accommodate most physical problems or handicaps.
Provisions
For your hunting trip we provide the hunting guides, meals, accommodation and transportation during the hunt. We also provide a walk-in cooler for meat storage, making sure that none of your animal is wasted. The camps are cabin camps. There are showers at all camps.
As you can see, most of your needs are covered by us. However, there are some necessities that you will need to bring:
- a bedroll
- pillow
- towel
- two 12'x14' tarps
- wool pants, wool coat, wool hat (or polar fleece)
- rain pants, rain coat
- waterproof hunting boots and rubber boots
- warm snow pack boots for later hunts
These items are all recommended for a successful and comfortable hunting experience. You may replace the wool items with polar fleece, but remember that hunting requires quiet movement. Finally, remember your rifle or bow as very few hunters are successful without them.
